As an update to my previous post, here's a pic of my new shakers:
I've been doing some internet research, and these were made in the USA by West Bend in the 60's or 70's, and also came in the colours "harvest gold" and "avocado green". I'm pleased with my $4 find.

Please don't hate me for spelling dalmatian wrong.
Whenever I search for "101 dalmatians" in the catalogue I always spell it wrong the first time and then wonder why I'm not getting results.
And since we're on the topic, why would I have had to fight dalmatians?
